Straightening, cutting and bending machines
The tried and tested multi-rotor straightening technology, the flying shears, precision formers and robust bending heads ensure precise, gentle straightening, cutting and bending of rebar from coil. This guarantees consistently exceptional quality final production.
Simultaneous double bending means higher output
Automatic change of bending matrix
Maximum bending capacity up to 2 x 20 mm and 1 x 25 mm
Single-rotor straightening machines
The ESR series single-rotor straightening machines are equipped with a single rotor suited to the given wire diameter. This all-round machine was designed for use in factories which place a premium on flexible production while still maintaining high production output.
The rotor straightening system and the wire run-off are designed according to customer specifications and allow you to produce not only straight bars, but also a variety of bars with bending run-off.

Multi-rotor straightening machines
The MSR and Twin MSR series straightening/bending machines work off coil and thus optimize the flow of production. Low storage costs and easier material handling boost cost-effective production. Coupling the machines with a double-bending unit with automatic former changeover transforms the machinery into a multi-functional, high-performance coil-processing station for the production of rebar material and stirrups.

Bars
Steel bar or mesh is used to produce reinforcement for precast concrete elements. The bars have a ribbed surface, which ensures optimum interlinking with the concrete. Reinforcement bars are processed either as bar material or direct from the coil. Steel bar is available in diameters from 6 to 40 mm. Bars can be linked together into cages or mesh either by a weaving process with linking material (fastening) or by being welded. They can be straight, or bent single-sided or multi-sided.
Can straightening, cutting, and bending machines also automatically produce complex reinforcement shapes?
Straightening, cutting, and bending machines from Progress Maschinen & Automation are specifically designed to automatically process complex reinforcement shapes. Precise control systems and programmable bending sequences ensure reliable and repeatable production of complex geometries.
What are the advantages of rotor straightening technology?
Rotor straightening technology ensures consistent product quality and complies with applicable standards, making it ideal for processing different steel grades.
What wire diameters can be processed with ESR straightening machines?
The ESR series can process wire diameters from 5–12 mm (ESR 12) and 6–16 mm (ESR 16).
What is the maximum feeding speed of the straightening and cutting machines?
All machines in the ESR and MSR series offer a maximum feeding speed of up to 160 m/min.
What makes the Twin MSR series special?
The Twin MSR series is equipped with two rotors per diameter, enabling parallel processing and increased productivity.
How is the wire diameter changed on the machines?
Wire diameter changes can be carried out manually or fully automatically (optional), simplifying and accelerating the production process.
What applications do straightening and cutting machines have in the industry?
These machines are ideal for producing reinforcing steel products in various lengths and diameters and are widely used in the construction and steel industries.
What are the main features of the MMR straightening and cutting machine?
The MMR machine offers wire feeding and separate cutting units for each rotor, increasing efficiency during diameter changes and optimizing production.
What options are available for the straightening and cutting machines?
In addition to continuous operation capability, optional features include flying shear cutting and automatic rotor adjustment (ARV).
