Investment in the future of precast concrete production
Efficiency, digitalization, and sustainability are defining our times, making continuous investment in the modernization of production processes increasingly important from a strategic perspective.
Mischek Systembau has over five decades of experience in the production of precast concrete elements. Since its acquisition by the Strabag Group in 2004, the company has gained access to technological resources and an expanded market. Today, Mischek operates in three shifts and covers a wide range of precast concrete elements, including slab-shaped solid and semi-precast elements, as well as special precast elements with complex geometries.
Technical excellence
Mischek Systembau has continuously invested in automation and digitalization machinery in recent years. To increase productivity and added value, the company continues to rely on its partnership with Progress Group. Among its latest investments is a wire center for automating reinforcing steel processing at the plant. Several reinforcement machines are fully integrated into the production process, including a Versa lattice girder welding machine, an MSR straightening and cutting machine, and gripper units for transporting the bars and lattice girders. The special feature of the lattice girder machine is that the upper chord is pre-cut by a separate single straightening machine, while the lower chord is changed automatically. This results in special lattice girders in which the wire diameter of the upper and lower chords differs.
Mischek invested in machines from EBAWE Anlagentechnik, the specialist for continuous production lines in the Progress Group, back in 2008. In addition to the production of double walls and precast slabs, solid precast elements are also manufactured in a second continuous production line. This was followed in 2019 by a groundbreaking investment in the Tube Master pipe laying robot. This machine is used to automatically lay cooling and heating pipes in the precast elements.
Focus on digitalization
In addition to hardware, digital production control plays a crucial role. The ebos® circulation control system from Progress Group enables data-based decisions through real-time visualization of production. With its simple operation, it optimizes production planning and ensures smooth processes. Mischek also uses the vision.Image quality control system, which automatically captures and documents images of the pallet before concreting—for better quality control and tracking of the installed components.
Looking to the future
For Mischek, the cooperation with the Progress Group is a decisive factor for success. The company combines state-of-the-art production processes, a high degree of automation, and consistently high efficiency. By investing in machinery and software from the Progress Group, the company is able to efficiently implement serial, sustainable construction in Austria and secure its leading position in industrial prefabrication.
The collaboration is characterized by the fact that it always takes place transparently and openly on an equal footing.
